Kevin was born and raised in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy. His first superintendent’s position was in 1998 at a 9-hole golf course in Windsor, VT. In 2001, Kevin was hired as the superintendent at Neshobe Golf Club in Brandon, VT. Kevin arrived at The Club at Spruce Peak in 2004 as the grow-in superintendent responsible for quality control during development and construction of the Mountain Course as well as finishing the final seeding of greens, tees, and fairways. The Mountain course is a Bob Cupp design. Since that time, Kevin guided Stowe Mountain Club on a path to successfully implement and complete the Audubon International Signature Certification process, the first in its class in Vermont. In 2013, the position of Director of Agronomy was awarded to Kevin. This position is responsible for the golf course maintenance operations at both The Mountain Course and Stowe Country Club. Stowe Country Club underwent a full renovation of the golf course in 2024 and 2025 under the architectural guidance of Beau Welling Design. During this renovation, Kevin oversaw all aspects of the grow-in and was heavily involved in the construction specifications. While serving as president of the Vermont Golf Course Superintendents Association (VTGCSA) from 2010-2012, Kevin helped craft legislation to protect golf courses in Vermont from restrictive fertilizer laws. Since then he has testified numerous times in front of Vermont legislative committees advocating for the golf course industry in Vermont. In 2025, Kevin was awarded the Excellence in Government Affairs Award from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). Kevin became a certified golf course superintendent from the GCSAA in 2012. He currently has a seat on the VTGCSA board of directors as a trustee. Kevin lives in Stowe, VT with his wife, Kerry, and son, Austin. Away from his position as Director of Agronomy, Kevin and his wife own and operate North Hollow Berry Farm in Stowe, VT. The farm has 2,000 highbush blueberry bushes and operates as pick-your-own.
