Mrs. Jennifer L Torres
Golf Course Superintendent, Westlake Golf and Country Club
Membership:
Jennifer Torres is currently the superintendent at Westlake Golf and Country Club in Jackson, NJ. She is a member of the GCSANJ Board of Directors, representing District 4 and also a Grassroots Ambassador for GCSAA. She has been a member of GCSAA for 14 years and is now a Class A Member. Jennifer grew up on a small dairy farm in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. This is where her passion for the outdoors began. She started her career in golf in 2003 as a tractor operator at Fountain Green Golf Course on the military base at Fort Dix, NJ. From there she attended the Rutgers Golf Turf Management Program in 2005-2006 using her GI Bill from her time in the military. She graduated with high honors and also was the only female in the program. From there Jennifer took an Assistant position at Indian Springs Golf Course in Marlton, NJ with Billy Casper Golf. In 2012 she moved on to Makefield Highlands Golf Club in Yardley, PA. There she honed her skills and became the superintendent in 2016. Once she became a superintendent, she has strived to give back to the industry that has opened so many doors for her. You may recognize her from the cover of Golf Course Industry Magazine where she was proud to represent the “Ladies Leading Turf”, in the September 2019 issue.
