Gregory B. Jones, CGCS, MG, is the Director of Agronomy at Champions Run in Omaha, Neb. He earned his bachelor’s degree in turfgrass management from Kansas State University, first earned his CGCS in 2016 and his Master Greenkeeper Certificate in 2021. Jones was Director of Agronomy at Porcupine Creek Golf Club and Private Residence in Rancho Mirage, Calif., and superintendent at Ben Brown’s Golf Course at the Ranch Laguna Beach in Laguna Beach, Calif. before joining the team at Champions Run. A 27-year GCSAA member, Jones was elected to the GCSAA Board of Directors in 2024, is a past president of the Nebraska GCSA and helped start the Nebraska Golf Alliance. He has served as GCSAA Grassroots Ambassador, Chapter Delegate, and on numerous committees. He lives in Omaha with wife, Kary, and sons Zack and Gage.
