Shaun Marcellus is the Golf Course Superintendent at Wanumetonomy Golf & Country Club in Middletown, Rhode Island which obtained its Greens Certification in 2019. He earned his bachelors in Horticulture from SUNY Cobleskill. Marcellus started his career in the Turf industry in 2000 and has been a GCSAA member since 2005. He previously spent time at Liberty National Golf Club and Saucon Valley Country Club as an assistant from 2006-2018. He is a former Green Start Academy participant in 2017 and is currently working with local high school students on Aquidneck Island to get them actively involved in the golf course industry. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and his golf course assistant dog Sven.
