Travis Cook is an assistant superintendent at The Country Club of Birmingham. He has been in the golf industry since 2011 and been a member of the GCSAA since 2014. He obtained an A.S. degree in Golf Course Operations from Florida Gateway College in 2014 as well as an Applied Technology Diploma in Turf Equipment Technology (Magna Cum Laude). After Graduation Travis worked as the assistant superintendent at Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club in Florida until 2016 when he began working at The Country Club of Birmingham. He is an Assistant Representative on the Alabama GCSAA Board of Directors where he is the Co-Chair of the; Assistant’s Committee, BMP Committee, and Donnie Arthur Committee. Travis is also part of the 2018 inaugural class of the EXCEL Leadership Program sponsored by GCSAA and Nufarm. Travis has hosted the 2016 USGA Men’s State Team and the 2013 USGA Mid-Am. He has volunteered at the 2016-2018 Regions Traditions Tournament and the 2018 USGA Woman’s Open at Shoal Creek. Travis Currently lives in Hoover, Alabama with his wife Kayla and dog Nia.
