Mike Richardson, Ph.D., is professor of horticulture at the University of Arkansas, where he has served for almost 30 years. Richardson’s research focuses on cultural practices that impact cool- and warm-season turfgrass production in the transition zone and he has also been involved with research to promote sustainable turfgrass systems such as pollinator lawns and native grass prairies. He has been a GCSAA faculty member since 2008 and he enjoys camping and hiking with his family, playing the guitar and cooking in his spare time.
